LONGINES FEI WORLD CUP™ presented by GL EVENTS

The 3rd of the 11 legs of the winter Longines FEI World Cup™ circuit, Lyon will be the meeting place for the world’s best show jumping riders who have come to win the first precious points to be qualified for the Final!

With an exceptional line-up and an unpredictable scenario, the public in Lyon are now experts of these kinds of classes, which are of the highest level in the world. Every year the public is present to be thrilled by the strides of the best horse and rider combinations in the world. 


Who will be the winner of the 2017 edition ? One thing is for sure: no-one will know in advance who will ride to victory after a scenario full of unexpected developments!

2 evenings dedicated to 5* jumping competitions

 

In addition to the World Cup™ leg which will be held on Sunday 5th november, the public in Lyon will also be able to attend to 2 special evenings dedicated to high-level jumping!

First highlight, the LONGINES GRAND PRIX on friday 3rd november 2017, from 8:00pm*. This first qualifier for the FEI LONGINES World cup™ leg of sunday 5th november will welcome the aces of show jumping, determined to get their qualification. An high rhythm and a lot of sudden developpements... The scene will be set from this first evening!

On Saturday 4th november, Lyon will welcome the traditional EQUITA MASTERS presented by EQUITHEME.

This competition in two rounds, reserved for the best riders in the world, promises a moment of unforgettable sport, like every year.  The great names in show jumping have distinguished themselves in this class such as Markus Fuchs, Marcus Ehning, Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, Eric Lamaze, Steve Guerdat, Beat Mändli and Roger-Yves Bost, Daniel Deusser. In 2016, Belge’s Gregory Whatelet was the winner of this competition with his loyal Eldoraro Van het Vijverhof! This is an evening which is always very emotional!
