The Hippolia Start-up Village: A competition devoted to innovation in the equestrian sector at Equita Lyon
For the 10th successive year, the Hippolia Start-up Prize by Equita will be awarded to one of the 9 innovations entered in the competition, presented at the Start-up Village at the entrance to the show. Members of the public and visitors are invited to vote for the innovation they think is most promising.
The Hippolia Start-up Village – organised in partnership with the Hippolia Cluster, France's only competitiveness cluster devoted to the equestrian sector – will be back at Equita for the 10th time. Once again, the Hippolia Start-up Prize by Equita will be teaming up with Grand Prix to reward the best innovations. Nine promising young start-ups will be taking part in the Innovation competition with the aim of convincing both the public and a panel of professionals about the value of their innovative concepts for the equine sector.
Members of the public can vote for their favourite product online or when they visit the show. The final rankings, which are established based on visitors' votes (60% of the overall scoring) and the jury's appreciation (40% of the overall scoring) will be announced at the awards ceremony held in the Place des Lumières at the show, on Sunday 3 November at 10.30am. The grand prize-winner will win an exhibition stand for the next Equita Lyon, courtesy of GL Events, and a cheque for €10,000 worth of communication campaigns with Grand Prix.
In 2023, the winner of the Hippolia Start-up Prize by Equita was Mila Moka, a brand of food supplements and mineral and vitamin supplements for horses, made in France from plant extracts and probiotics, with eco-designed packaging.
