JAVA'S QUEEN NUMENOR WINS THE THREE-YEAR-OLD GELDING AND FEMALE SELLE FRANCAIS CHAMPIONSHIP
By obtaining a record average score of 17.87, the aptly named Java’s Queen Numenor won the coveted title of French Champion in the 3-year-old Selle Français sport horse category at the Longines Equita Lyon Concours Hippique International, this Thursday. This was a well-deserved victory for the daughter of Oldenburg Balou Star and the Selle Français Bourgeoise Courcelle by the SF stallion Lamm de Fétan. Indeed, she led the championship from start to finish, with averages of 17.8 for the model, 17.5 for the mounted gait, 18 for the mounted jumping and 18.25 for the free jumping categories. Congratulations to the SCEA Haras Numedor (stud farm) represented by its breeding manager, Marine Barlet, and deputy breeding manager, Julien Blot.
"We had the opportunity to see a great selection of horses, which had already been carefully sorted. The competition was not open to just anyone. The group of horses presented was quite uniform, with very well-prepared horses that will be ready for the four-year category. All the horses involved met the model and gait criteria and had good lineage," said Hubert Alamartine, SHF judge.
