Jean-Luc Mourier wins again in the Grand National
This Thursday, the Grand Prix Pro Elite of the Grand National FFE-AC Print presented by Cheval TV was won by Jean-Luc Mourier, who had already tasted victory in the CSI 2* yesterday, riding Gravity LCH.
Fifty-four pairs took part in this Grand Prix with 1.5m obstacles. Finally, only six of the riders managed to make it through to the jump-off on the course designed by Jean-François Gourdin. Jean-Luc Mourier, who has been in great form since the start of the competition, was the first to do a clear round with his 12-year-old bay. The rider from the Haras Saint Amour even managed to qualify his second horse, Expert DK Z, for the shortened course of the jump-off against the clock. Jean-Luc Mourier was also the first to start in the jump-off, and he made the most of his opportunity. Not content with completing the only double clear round of the class, he also set the fastest time (35''28). Moreover, the rider from Haute-Savoie finished 4th with his second horse (8 pts - 36''22). Pierre Coiteux Fontaine and Vista du Chalet finished in 2nd place (4 pts - 36''23). Florian Noël completed the podium with Casac du Thot (4 pts - 37''46).
"I haven't been riding Gravity for a long time. He's a horse that's already competed in some big events and I'm starting to get to know him a bit better. I’m really pleased. And now, how about lucky number three!" said the delighted Jean-Luc Mourier. So, do not miss the CSI 2*!
