"Le Roy" is king
A total of 81 riders started the CSI 2* table-A class against the clock on Wednesday evening. With obstacles at 1.40m in height, the Prix CREA-VERT was a qualifying event for Saturday's Grand Prix. Indeed, the participants had to ensure they rode the course quickly to be among the best times when they reached the tricky final double vertical, which caught a lot of riders out at the end of their rounds. For a long time, the best times were around the 65-second mark, with Nicolas Delmotte and Urvoso du Roch taking the lead for a while (before finally finishing fourth). In the end, Jérémy Le Roy and his mare Razzia des Sables, who were in great form, lowered the benchmark by more than 3 seconds, finishing in a time of a 62.05 seconds. At the very end of the class, Guillaume Batillat had everyone on the edge of their seats as he rode a fast round on Baby Love. But it was not quite enough to overtake Jérémy Le Roy. Alexa Ferrer was also in fine form and gave everything she had to try to top the ranking, but finally finished in third place with A Vie du Calvaire. At the end of the day, Jeremy Le Roy ran out the clear winner. "I didn't necessarily try to go really fast, but this mare is naturally very quick. I tightened my line in the bends, but I didn't go flat out and it all worked out well." So, as a regular at the event in Lyon, Jérémy Le Roy will go into Saturday's Grand Prix with his favourite horse in good spirits. "We like coming here, it's one of the coolest competitions to take part in, if not the coolest. What's more, we have a few young horses in the SHF Finals, so we have come to Lyon with several horses. And we always enjoy coming here every year."
