Let the show begin!
The wide variety of events and activities on offer is what makes Equita Lyon so special. And this Wednesday, the aisles were full of visitors for the opening day of the 30th anniversary of the show. Whether they come for the sports competitions, equestrian tourism, western riding or breeding events, the visitors flock to all the different arenas at the show. And the same is true for the Nikito arena, where visitors can enjoy the Breed Parade. Like models in a fashion show, each breed representative takes to the arena to parade proudly in front of the admiring horse lovers. A total of 25 breeds are represented this year, including ponies, small horses, horses, draught horses and donkeys, which are all presented according to their specific physical and behavioural characteristics.
To find out all about the Mérens, Camargue, Welsh and many other horse and pony breeds, make sure you visit Hall 5 for the Breed Parade, which takes place every day at the end of the morning.
