2 November 2019

Their performances are already being closely followed by enthusiasts and connoisseurs of equestrian sports and horse breeding. Eleven young horses with great potential - selected on the basis of their performances in the events specifically devoted to them - competed in the Indoor SHF finals in the arena at the Longines Equita Lyon, Concours Hippique International.

In the 5-year old category, Elsass du Mezel (by Kannan) had the highest score in the competition with 73.5 points (17/20 and 16.5/20 in the style and dressage events). Ridden by Céline Theriot, the winner of the Rosières interregional championships in Lorraine won the competition, ahead of Elsa Gravelotte (by President) and Eup And Go du Lavoir (by Vigo d'Arsouilles).

In the 6-year-old category, the winner was Dalhousie Du Mesnil*Hdv (by Vigo Cece). Ridden by Jérémy Le Roy, the mare obtained an excellent score of 76.5 (with 17.5/20 and 19/20 in style and dressage). She confirmed her potential, having finished 4th in the French 4-year-old horse championship and 7th in the 6-year-old championship in Fontainebleau. "She's just about a perfect horse. She is extremely motivated and obedient," said her rider. "The competition format is ideal. It is a great showcase: the perfect opportunity to promote French horse breeding in conjunction with the CSI 5*. These events represent a step up the ladder for the horses," he said. In the 6-year-old category, the second and third places on the podium went to Diva Karef (by L'Arc de Triomphe) and Dagada des Grevis (by Cardento).

The jury, which awarded the technical scores, was composed of the international riders Kevin Staut and Niels Bruynseels and the trainer Laurent Elias.
