TOP 10 CSO AUVERGNE-RHÔNE-ALPES: REGIONAL RIDERS FOLLOWING IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF THEIR HEROES
Following the regional EQUIMASTERS, which took place at the end of August, the ten best riders and horses in each of the Amateur 2, Amateur 1, Amateur Elite and Majors 1 and 2 categories went head-to-head in their respective classes (yesterday and today) in the main arena of the Longines Equita Lyon, Concours Hippique International, the very same arena in which the CSI5* riders will be competing tomorrow. It is a dream come true for many of the competitors, whose annual objective is to take part in the TOP 10.
At the end of two days of competition in front of many supporters who had come from all over the region, the winners’ medals were awarded to: Philippe Robin and Daura de Carville in the Majors 1 (1.15m), Ornella Mourier and Indra Ter Linen in Majors 2 (1.05m), Emmanuel de Bony and Beauté au Crosnier in Amateur 2 (1.10m), Lila Souvairan and Gantura Rouge in Amateur 1 (1.20m) and Damien Chambon on Aphrodite des Esses in the Amateur Élite (1.25m).
On each podium, the medals were awarded by Sylvie Robert, President of GL events Equestrian Sports, and Jacques Navarro, President of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Equestrian Committee. "Like every year, I am absolutely delighted to see our regional riders perform in the legendary arena of the Longines Equita Lyon, Concours Hippique International, and I would particularly like to thank Sylvie Robert and all her teams for their warm welcome. During these two days of competition, the course designers did a remarkable job, ensuring there was total suspense until the last rounds in each category. Well done to them and well done to all the riders and teachers involved in these Top 10 CSO show-jumping competitions, which we care about so much." said Jacques Navarro after the event.
