Vote for your favourite start-up!
The Start-up village, presented by the Hippolia cluster, is back at Equita Lyon for the ninth year. The Village gives seven promising young companies the opportunity to raise their profile among the general public, trade professionals and the media. In partnership with Grand Prix, a competition is being organised during the five days of the show to designate the best start-up in the equestrian sector.
The start-ups
- D'joy by Cheval & Senteurs makes scented candles, drawing inspiration from the sensory world of horses and nature. The candles are handmade in Burgundy from 100% natural soy wax.
- Horsesinergia helps horse owners find a trustworthy person for co-boarding solutions, to help look after and develop a healthy relationship with the owner's horse.
- Mila Moka is a brand of food supplements and mineral and vitamin supplements. They provide natural, effective products at affordable prices.
- MY-UUU is a website that lists riding centres in France, with a focus on horse well-being. The site is aimed at both beginners and experienced riders. It also helps promote the riding centres through their digital showcase and provides geolocation information.
- Skuam designs clothing for female riders. Their clothes enable the body to express itself without constraint, taking into account the rider's movements with the horse. The company's aim is to make every riding outfit feel like a second skin.
- Victoray produces and sells the first eco-friendly equestrian clothing made in France. Their aim is to become the leading eco-friendly "French underwear" brand for horse riding.
- Vitecurie is an application designed to simplify the day-to-day management of stables. Monitoring the horses, boarding, events, invoicing, stocks, etc. You can manage everything in 5 minutes a day via telephone.
How does the election process work?
Visitors to Equita Lyon are invited to vote for their favourite start-up. Their vote will count for 50% of the final result. At the same time, a panel of professionals will get together to consider a certain number of criteria, including innovation, the sales approach, marketability and the coherence of the project.
On Thursday afternoon, each start-up gives a presentation of its concept and then takes a few minutes to answer questions from the panel of judges.
The panel of judges is made up of Claire Valade (Décathlon), Laurent Duray (LIM Group), William Benguigui (Harcour), Pascal Gautherin (Ekkia Group), Fabien Gougeon and Eléonore Magnien (Grand Prix).
Who will follow on from Nellumbo, the winner in 2022? All will be revealed on Sunday 5 November at 10.30am.
You can vote until midnight on Saturday online
or go to the Start-up Village in the Place des Lumières at the show.
By participating, your name will be entered in a prize-draw competition, with 70 prizes to be won.
